Halsey Drive School Enrolment Information

Children may be enrolled before 5 years, but cannot attend school before their 5th birthday.  Children who attend Kindergarten visit the school on a familiarisation trip before commencing.  Invitations are sent out to pre-school parents to visit the school with their child to meet the Principal, Deputy Principal and classroom teacher.

When enrolling please bring your child’s birth certificate or passport to verify the date of birth and NZ residency.  We also need confirmation of residence if you are a new family to the school.  An enrolment policy is in place and can be obtained from the office.

Out of Zone Enrolments

Halsey Drive School accepts applications from families living outside of the school zone.  These applications are put into a ballot.  The school out-of-zone ballot occurs twice a year.  Your child will be put into the ballot nearest to their school start date.  After the ballot you will be informed of whether your application has been successful.  If your application is successful you will be asked to attend the school to complete the necessary paperwork for your child to start at Halsey Drive School.

Please note that if you have more then one child in your family you will need to complete the out-of-zone application for each child that you would like to attend the school.
